Work with us

Cook, teach, share what you know

We are always looking for good people to join Fleurieu Food and Wine. Whether you are a seasoned presenter, someone with a specialised food skill worth sharing, or a junior with a real love of food and a desire to learn, there is a place at our bench for you.

The team and guests around the long table at a Fleurieu Food and Wine cooking class
Why us

A good day’s work

Our classes run in some of the best rooms on the Fleurieu Peninsula: winery cellar doors, a historic homestead, a distillery, a lakeside butter factory. The guests arrive curious and leave happy, and the day ends with everyone sitting down to eat what they made.

We handle the bookings, the marketing, the venues and the logistics. You get to do the part you love, which is cooking, teaching and hosting a room, without the overheads of running it all yourself.

§ The roles

Where you might fit

Three ways to work with us. Tell us which one sounds like you, and we will take it from there.

Role · Class Presenter

Class Presenter

You lead the class from go to whoa: teach the technique, keep the room laughing, and bring the whole thing home to a shared table. You are confident cooking in front of people and you love an audience.

What’s in it for you

  • Paid work with flexible dates that fit around your life
  • A built-in audience and a brand behind you, so you just turn up and present
  • Some of the best venues on the Fleurieu to work in
  • A genuine platform to build your profile and following
Role · Guest Chef

Guest Chef & Specialist

You have a specialised skill worth sharing, whether that is cheese making, a particular cuisine, charcuterie, fermentation or something we have not run yet. We give you the room and the audience to run a signature class around it.

What’s in it for you

  • A ready-made audience and full marketing behind your class
  • No venue, booking or admin overheads to carry yourself
  • A stage to sell your own products, books or brand alongside the class
  • Revenue share on a class built around your name and your craft
Role · Operations Crew

Operations Crew

You are the engine behind a smooth class: prep, set-up, supporting the presenter on the day, and pack-down. Perfect for a junior with a real interest in food and a desire to learn from people who know their craft.

What’s in it for you

  • Casual, flexible shifts that suit study or other work
  • Hands-on learning from specialist chefs and presenters
  • A genuine foot in the door of the food industry
  • A pathway toward presenting your own classes down the track
Who we’re after

The kind of people we love to meet

A specialised food skill

We are especially keen to hear from people with a specialised skill-set, whether that is cheese making, a particular cuisine, smoking and barbecue, seafood or preserving. If you do one thing brilliantly, we want to build a class around it.

A love of food, if you’re starting out

For our junior crew roles you do not need a CV full of kitchens. You need a genuine interest in food and a desire to learn. We will teach you the rest.

Warmth with a room

Our classes are as much about the people as the food. If you enjoy hosting, teaching and making guests feel at home, you will fit right in.

Reliability and pride

Guests have booked their day around us. We look for people who turn up, care about the details, and take pride in sending everyone home happy.

How to apply

Get in touch

There is no formal application. Just send us a short note about who you are, which role sounds like you, and the food skill or experience you would bring. If you have a specialised class in mind, tell us about it. If you are just starting out, tell us what you love to cook and why.

Email bookings@fleurieufoodandwine.com.au and we will be in touch.

Prefer a form? Tell us about yourself here and we will be in touch.

Which role sounds like you, any experience you have, and why you would like to work with us.
For example cheese, seafood, BBQ, preserving, pasta, or "keen to learn".

Bring your skill to the bench

Presenter, guest chef or crew, we would love to hear from you. Tell us what you bring and which role fits.
