A few of the most common booking questions. The full FAQ page has everything else.
How do I book a cooking class?
Browse the upcoming classes above, click the class you want, and follow the booking prompts on the class page. Payment is taken at the time of booking. You will receive an email confirmation with all the details for your visit, including venue address and timing.
Can I book online?
Yes. Our online booking system is the easiest way to secure your spot and see real-time availability. You will receive an email confirmation with all the details you need for your visit, including venue address and timing.
How far in advance should I book?
Book as early as possible once you know your dates, especially for weekends and peak Adelaide and Fleurieu seasons. Some classes sell out weeks or months ahead. If you are flexible, last-minute spots are sometimes available.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes. Gift vouchers are available and are a popular way to give the gift of a Fleurieu cooking experience. Vouchers can be redeemed across a range of classes and events. Buy a gift voucher.
What is your cancellation policy?
A minimum of 14 days notice is required for any cancellations or rescheduling requests. Cancellations made with at least 14 days notice receive a full refund or credit. Cancellations within 14 days of the event are non-refundable unless exceptional circumstances apply, in which case a credit may be offered at our discretion.
Can I book a private class for my group?
Yes. Private classes are available for groups such as families, friends, hens, bucks groups, corporate teams, and special occasions. Contact us with your group size, preferred date, and any preferences for a tailored proposal.
A class is a whole experience
You will not be standing in a city classroom watching a chef cook. You will be at a cellar door, a distillery, a heritage homestead, or our Adelaide partner venue at Jackson Square. Small groups, hands-on the whole time, hosted by Jackie and John, with a long-table meal or generous tasting of what you have made.
Hands-on cooking, not a demonstration. Every guest has their own or shared work station. You roll, knead, stretch, fill, season, and cook. By the end of the class you will have the skills to repeat the recipes at home. Jackie is trained in Adult Education and teaches so that beginners feel supported and experienced cooks pick up technique tips they have not seen before.
Wine and spirits where it makes sense. John brings more than forty years of wine industry experience and curates the wines and spirits for each class. Pairings are designed to match the dishes you cook, not just to provide a drink. Cellar door visits at Chapel Hill and spirits tastings at Cut Hill Wall Distillery are built into many of our experiences.
Working venues across the Fleurieu and Adelaide. Our five venues each have their own character. Jackson Square in Adelaide. Chapel Hill in McLaren Vale. Cut Hill Wall Distillery in Hindmarsh Valley. Bungala House and Lot 50 in Yankalilla. Each class lists its venue so you can choose based on the experience and the region you want to explore.
Award credentials you can verify. Fleurieu Food and Wine is the 2025 South Australian Tourism Awards Gold Winner for Excellence in Food Tourism, Highly Commended at the 2025 Australian Tourism Awards, and a 2026 Small Business Champion Finalist. We hold Quality Tourism Accreditation, TICSA Sustainable Tourism Accreditation, and an Accessible Tourism Information report.
Five working venues across South Australia
From the Adelaide CBD to the cellar doors of McLaren Vale and the coastal towns of the Fleurieu Peninsula. Each venue offers a different character. Each class page tells you which one you will be cooking in.
Jackson SquareNew
Our newest venue brings Fleurieu Food and Wine into the city for the first time. If the Peninsula is too far for one weekend, this is where we will meet you instead.
Adelaide venue →Chapel Hill Winery
One of McLaren Vale’s most scenic cellar doors. Our classes here combine hands-on cooking with Chapel Hill wine tastings or pairings.
McLaren Vale venue →Cut Hill Wall Distillery
A working distillery on a 40-acre rural property. Cooking classes often pair with whisky, gin, or other spirits tastings on site.
Distillery venue →Bungala House
A heritage homestead with gardens and a pavilion that suits long-table masterclasses, hens days, and corporate retreats on the Peninsula.
Homestead venue →Lot 50
A relaxed creative space with gardens and a cafe. Lot 50 hosts our cheese making and other intimate workshops.
Creative venue →Make it a weekend
Combine a class with beaches, wineries, distilleries, and walking trails. Our partners at can sort accommodation across the Peninsula.
Discover the Fleurieu →Recognised by tourism Australia
The independent recognition behind our cooking school. Verifiable and recent.
