Say Cheese

Fleurieu Food and Wine offer the Say Cheese cooking session where you and your event guest will be making mozzarella. So let’s get stretching in the kitchen. This flexible private event caters from as few as four people up to ten! This is a hand’s on cooking session where you will learn how to make your own Mozzarella.

We start with developing the curd and then moving through to cutting and stretching the cheese.  What to do with the whey and some great recipes for your home made cheese.  Our unique event style means that we can come to you with everything needed for you all to have some great hand’s on fun!

Cooking Session: $99 per person inc GST.

Sessions are run for a minimum of 4 people up to 10 people and pricing includes GST

  • All equipment required to make your cheese
  • Cooking demonstration on each step of your cheese making
  • Exclusive recipes for your mozzarella and whey
  • Discussion on other cheeses you can easily make at home
  • Each guest will take home their homemade produce
  • Demonstration session duration 3 hours
  • Knowledge and guidance to give you the confidence to make cheese at home
  • A small kit to use at home
  • Unfortunately we can’t modify this event to suit all dietary requirements
  • Glass of bubbles and a tasting plate to finish

Fleurieu Food and Wine is owned and operated by Jackie and John Mazzocato, locals with a love of all things food and wine! Jackie and John are a carefully curated pairing. John has over 40 years of experience in the wine industry, and Jackie has a passion for cooking and vast experience in recipe development and curation. With a wealth of good humour and expert knowledge, the tasting events they run are truly special, and approachable for anyone. Carefully selected pairings with layered flavours and house made accompaniments, your palates will be awakened and your tastebuds delighted!
